The difference between possible and probable is capacity

I have had the opportunity to work with Jamie on a number of different projects in recent years and I have always been impressed by his keen intellect, strategic outlook and outstanding negotiation skills. Jamie has deep knowledge of the labour movement and extensive experience with collective bargaining. I have benefited from his strategic planning capability and, most recently, leaned on him for his understanding of using a Theory of Change approach to project planning and implementation.

The PIPSC AFS Group is a bargaining unit with over twelve thousand members across more a dozen occupations, all employed by an agency subject to federally regulated bargaining rules. As the president of the AFS Group, I can attest to the complexity of our collective bargaining process. Jamie Dunn was hired as our negotiator for a particularly important bargaining session. We were at a practical impasse with virtually no progress having been made in over a year. We were also between negotiators, so I was in the difficult position of chairing our bargaining team without a professional negotiator. Jamie changed all that. In a few days; Jamie guided us to identify our priorities; resolve a large number of outstanding issues; and put on a clear path to our contract settlement. I consider Jamie to be among the best professional negotiators in Canada.
